THAI FRIED RICE
Thai fried rice is a variety of Fried rice that is prepared in the style of central Thai cuisine. It is known as Khao Pad or Khao Phad , from khao(rice) + pad(of or relating to being stir-fried. One of the ways the dish differs from Chinese fried rice is that it is prepared with Thai Jasmine rice instead of regular long-grain rice. It normally contains a meat (chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, and crab are all common), egg, onions, and tomatoes.

Green onions, cilantro, and fried garlic are then mixed in. Then poured over the concoction are a myriad of seasonings, including soy sauce, sugar, salt, possibly some chili sauce, and the ubiquitous nam pla. These are stirred in, and then the dish is plated and served with accompaniments like cucumber slices, tomato slices, and sprigs of green onion, which are sometimes put on a lettuce leaf.

Pineapple fried rice
There is a variation on the Thai fried rice recipe called Pineapple fried rice (Khao Pad Sap Ba Rot) which has a few changes from the recipe. The meat is most commonly chicken, pork, or shrimp in this case. The onions, tomatoes, and cilantro are omitted. Curry powder is added to the dish as well as pineapple. The dish is topped with some more curry powder, but it is not served with the garnishes mentioned above.
